Introduced in late 1937, the 4.3 Litre Short Chassis VDP Tourer was arguably among the best looking road cars of its generation. Period road test figures, which showed a 0-60mph time of 11.3 seconds and an enviable 103.45 mph top speed, confirmed it to also be one of the quickest. Just twelve Alvis 4.3 Litre Short Chassis VDP Tourers were built and supplied, with only eleven known to have survived to this day ÛÒ this is one of the eleven. First registered as ELK 366 in December 1937 Chassis number 14328, Engine number 14791 The car comes with an extensive history and full details of work carried out since 1938.
